Reading list

It seems like it has been a long day. Partly because I am still up at 1 in the morning I guess. I finished my book by Francis Collins today, "The Language of God." Very good book. I recommend it to anyone that takes theology and or science seriously. And I believe you should take both very serious. I just now finished Ernest Hemingway's "A Farewell to Arms" for the second time in only 40 years or so. A sad book with a sadder ending. It isn't the best book written about the first world war. That distinction goes to "All Quiet on the Western Front" written by Erich Maria Remarque. Remarque was a German veteran and the book was written about his experiences in the German army. Hemingway was, of course, an American who drove an ambulance for the Italian army.

So I am now back to a single book in progress, "GOD According to God" by Gerald Schroeder. A compelling book so far. I may stay with this one book while I read it and not complicate my thinking with another. I can mostly read multiple books as long as they are totally different in concept and genre. So to mix a book about the dichotomy between theology and science with another book along the same lines is not a good idea for me. Fortunately there aren't any books out at the moment that has my attention except for this one.

I understand the movie made from Dan Brown's "Angels and Demons" was released on DVD today. I think I would like a copy of it. There is a new movie out "Blind Side" that I would like to see. If you Google it don't be confused with a movie titled "Blindsided." A whole different story.

Two more days off before Super Friday. The store is opening an hour earlier than normal. Probably be a rush. My first day on the floor was Super Friday 2006. Time flies. Hope this one is good as well.

Happy Thanksgiving if I don't get back here before.
